Wine Ice Cream Buzz Is Deliciously Smooth

Mixologists, wine makers, and ice cream connoisseurs have experimented for years and found – “EUREKA!” – the master invention to dwarf Eintein’s Theory of Relativity: ice cream wine.


Multitaskers can officially make their lives infinitely easier by partaking in the tasty wine ice cream combination craze that is currently sweeping the nation.

This age 21 and over ice cream is infused with just the right amount of vino to smoothly cross the palate in all the right ways sugar and grapes do so nicely as wine and ice cream separately.

New York-based Mercer Dairy offers “the ultimate pairing” with eight flavors of wine ice cream with 5% alcohol content: Cherry Merlot, Chocolate Cabernet, Peach White Zinfandel, Port, Red Raspberry Chardonnay, Riesling, Spice, and Strawberry Sparkling.

But they are not alone. Now that word has gotten out and sundaes topped with whipped cream, a cherry, and sprinkles, and they are getting the most amazing wine taste across, not to mention a nice wine buzz, others are joining the fray.

The Green Creek Winery in North Carolina, has also has found the right combination of wine to infuse within ice cream, allowing the concoction to still freeze correctly so that their icy red raspberry with sauvignon blanc, red grape with pinot noir, chocolate merlot, strictly strawberry with chardonnay and southern peach with riesling stand up as true wine ice cream and not just a raging mess of slushy wine ice cream mud.

I know what you are thinking: there is no way Friendly’s is going to get their liquor license! Well scoop out a bowl full of wine ice cream, top it in caramel sauce, and sit out at a sidewalk table and watch the people go by swiping sweat from their brows.

You can cool off and chill out, thanks to wine ice cream.

Personally, I have tried scoops of vanilla ice cream on a mug of Guinness and I was thoroughly disappointed.

But this artform is a thing unto itself.

The warmer days are on the way.

What could be more refreshing than a wine ice cream cone filled with Red Raspberry Chardonnay on a sunny Spring day?
