Overview

Join us as we travel virtually to Manduria, a town in Puglia, Italy to sample the magic of  Primitivo.  Primitivo is a dark-skinned grape known for producing inky, tannic, full-bodied wines. The grape is more well known by its "twin" Zinfandel.

WHAT IS PRIMITIVO

  • Primitivo is a big, ripe grape which prevalent in the Apulia region in the south of Italy.
  • The resulting wine is dark, juicy and high in alcohol content.
  • It is perfect for grilled meats and BBQ. Just in time for summer.

MEET THE OWNER & FOUNDER

  • Gregory Perrucci, the owner and operator of Felline, is much more than a winemaker.
  • Most importantly, he has made a name for himself internationally through his research organization Accademia dei Racemi.
  • They were the first to champion the Primitivo grape in the Puglia region, previously only used to produce cheap bulk wine, and the first to commit serious effort to study the many facets of the area’s different soils.
  • Today Gregory and his team make spectacular, fine wines. No more heap bulk wine!
