Can you believe it? We’re just a few days away from ringing in yet another year! It seems like 2018 totally flew by right before our eyes but we’re ready for 2019 and all the fabulous things it will bring.
Of course, there are no true New Year’s Eve festivities if there isn’t any delicious bubbly with which to toast. So, to make your year go out with a bang, here are some fantastic sparkling wines to celebrate the last sips of 2018.
A true American. Hailing from Napa, this is a quality bubbler that will make you feel fancy without blowing your wallet. Fresh and lemony with a spicy kick of ginger and a crisp burst of grapefruit, it’s drinkable and enjoyable, which means it’s perfect for the occasion.
Napa Valley, $24
Okay, people, this bottle is no joke. If you’re trying to impress everyone (including yourself) or just feel like an absolute boss as you ring in the new year, go with this beauty. It’s the pink twist on a French luxury. What else do you need to know? Champagne, France, $295
If you want to go French but without breaking your bank, this bottle will hit the spot. Luscious and refreshing with hints of lemon and lime but followed by a creamy smooth finish. Unlike 2018, it won’t be overwhelming, but just like 2018 it will probably go fast.
Alsace, France, $17
Moscato gets a pretty bad name because of our college days but in reality, it’s an elegant, delicious wine. Moscato d’Asti is the sweet wine’s sparkling cousin from Italy that brings a whole host of stone fruit and citrus flavors with yes, a light delicate touch of sweetness that is perfect for a celebration. Piedmont, Italy, $18
For those that like their bubbly nice and dry, this bottle is for you. It’s complex and interesting with flavors like buttered toast (you’ll see what we mean) and crisp apple. Sounds a little like, pie, doesn’t it? And what’s better than a hearty wine that tastes like pie to bring in a new year on a cold winter’s night? Mendocino County, California, $48
